Like this your shades get the right shapes
For creating regular curves and linear sides, it could help to take templates from your households. So use for example, to create regular curves, water bottles or for linear sides dvd boxes. To shape your lamp shades, put the templates inside and pull a little. This way the clips were adjusted and build the desired formation. To make circle shaped lamp shades use buckets or bowls from your kitchen gear.

2. How do I change the wallpapers (foil inlays)?
Changeable wallpapers, guaranty a bored-proofed designer light system...
The colored transparent, or with designs imprinted wallpapers (foil inlays), were just inserted into the Glass-Tubes. TERRIFI TUBES Wallpapers are imprinted on basis of a special procedure to display graphics and colors in bright and high resolution. If you want to change the look and feel or your lamps, visit our web shop. There you find over 100 different graphics and designs to renew the outfit of your lamps.

3.Could I turn the Glass-Tubes upside down to avoid dust faling inside ?

You could use our Glass-Tubes either with the closed, or opend end upside. While ordering your personal designer lamp in our webshop, just choose your prefered Glass-Tube orientation in the option menue.

4. How does the clip-system works in detail?
Clips & TUBES
The TERRIFIC TUBES system works with transparent Polycarbonate clips which combine Glass-Tubes, made of high quality Borosilicate glass. The clips connect 2 Glass-Tubes to one unit. To give the light objects (and vases) enough stability to keep their shapes, but also to provide the needed flexibility, the clips are designed with a defined pre-tension. The pre-tension enables our customers to model different styles and shapes by simple twisting and bending the components.

5. What is the different between transparent (clear) and translucent (opac) wallpapers?
Colors & Designs
We offer two types of wallpapers in our web shop. Transparent, clear wallpapers in red, green, blue, brown and yellow without graphic designs and translucent, opac wallpapers which could be imprinted with every available pattern, color and design. Transparent wallpapers are crystal clear and generate ambient light tons and clors. Translucent, imprinted wallpapers display the design on the opac foil surface.

6.Which sizes could be realized with TERRIFIC TUBES designer light systems??
TERRIFIC TUBES just limited by gravity...
In theory you could build unlimited sized light objects with our system. Of cause the whole clip-system is limited at some point by gravity. During testing the system, we build floor base light objects with over 300 Glass-Tubes.

7.Which kind of light sources should be used in TERRIFIC TUBES designer lamps?
modern energy saving lamps vs. classiscal ight bulbs
To increase the products sustainability, we recommend to run energy saving light bulbs in TERRIFIC TUBES lamp shades. Because many of our customers report, that the (light) tone of energy saving lamps is too cold and sterile, try out new soft tone energy saving lights which are available in most hardware and do-it-yourself stores around Europe.
compact fluorescent lamp (CFL), also known as a compact fluorescent light bulb or energy saving light bulb
Compared to general service incandescent lamps giving the same amount of visible light, CFLs use less power and have a longer rated life, but generally have a higher purchase price. In the United States, a CFL can save over US $30 in electricity costs over the lamp's lifetime compared to an incandescent lamp and save 2000 times its own weight in greenhouse gases.[2] Like all fluorescent lamps, CFLs contain mercury; this complicates the disposal of fluorescent lamps.
CFLs radiate a different light spectrum from that of incandescent lamps. Improved phosphor formulations have improved the subjective color of the light emitted by CFLs such that the best 'soft white' CFLs available in 2007 are subjectively similar in color to standard incandescent lamps.[3]

8. How does "seamless" tiles work in TERRIFIC TUBES wallpapers?
simple but effective
Graphic (seamless) tiles represent several copies of a repeating pattern. Many of these tiles fit seamless together and could cover an endless area without gaps and spaces in between. The seamless tile technique was invented by web designers to facilitate their workflow and to save storage capacity on computers. Instead of loading a big picture, it is just necessary to load one small tile and amplify it in the needed number of copies. The same principle we are using for our wallpapers. In wallpapers we use also tiles to generate designs for lamp shades in different sizes.

You have a good idea for a new wallpaper design? Then send us your graphic data and earn real money. We publish your wallpaper design on this website and integrate it into our product range in the web shop. If customers buy wallpapers with your designs, we let you participate with 15 % of the retail prices.

13. How do you realize to generate wallpapers with my design?
a special imprinting procedure ensures photo realistic graphics on your personal designer lamp
With TERRIFIC TUBES you could make personal wallpapers for your designer lamps. Therefore just send an eMail with a design of your choice in a appropriate format (minimum DIN A 4 format 297mm wide, 210 mm high) at 150 dpi. We generate with your designs the translucent wallpapers that are inserted into the Glass-Tubes. You could use nearly every possible graphic for your drafts, like holiday snap shots taken with your digicam or designs you find on the internet.
